ALL YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT I-25 WORK: Gary E. Cordova has a few questions about needed improvements on Interstate 25.
First, in Albuquerque: “When will the I-25 resurfacing in Albuquerque end, and how far will it extend?”
Kimberly Gallegos, who handles information for the New Mexico Department of Transportation’s District 3 office, says, “The I-25 mill-and-fill project from Tramway to Jefferson (in) both directions will resume work the week of April 5-9 and wrap up on the week of April 25. This project was delayed because crews needed to meet temperature to proceed.”
Second, around Algodones: “What is the purpose of the I-25 construction near Algodones, and when will it end?”

AN UNLUCKY CLOVERLEAF HIT: Charles recently asked in an email about the “on-ramp to Interstate 25 southbound from Montgomery westbound. This cloverleaf ramp has been barricaded shut for over a week. It’s got nothing to do with the Water Authority’s valve replacement project. New Mexico Department of Transportation District 3 has nothing posted on the website about this closure. … Pls advise.”
And Elizabeth Bayne emails, “The southbound ramp from Montgomery/Montaño and I-25 has been closed for some time now. However, there does not appear to be anything else happening there. Is construction planned? When? Why? … Do you have any information?”
