Metallica Donate $75,000 to Help Texans Impacted by Winter Storm
Metallica, in a continued effort of giving back to local communities and those in need, have donated $75,000 through their All Within My Hands Foundation to Texans impacted by the recent winter storm that left millions without power and potable drinking water while food resources became scarce.
The money will benefit the Feeding America organization, which will distribute food to Texas food banks as the metal legends confront food insecurity across the state. The winter storm that struck Texas last month was beyond anything the state s residents could imagine preparing for, said Metallica in a statement. As temperatures dropped well below freezing and widespread power outages swept the area, families suffered. All Within My Hands Foundation supports workforce education, fighting hunger, and other services. Metallica s always been a band that lends a helping hand when particular communities are needing some assistance. Well, last month on Valentine s Day the majority of Texas had suffered a power outage and without water for weeks.

Oak Bluffs photographer Michael Blanchard will donate a share of profits from his awardwinning book âThrough A Sober Lens: A Photographer’s Journeyâ to MusiCares, a charitable organization that provides those in the music industry a support system of health and human services across a spectrum of needs, including physical and mental health, addiction recovery, hearing clinics, unforeseen personal emergencies, and disaster relief, including COVID-19 relief, according to information from the photographer and the bookâs publisher Genevieve Press.
