LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Hours after a woman died in a camper fire in South Lubbock, a police report was filed claiming the deceased womanâs credit card had been used.
The police report includes a complaint from the womanâs ex-husband saying he had control over several of the womanâs bank accounts and saw a suspicious charge at Boltonâs gas service station at 7:50 p.m. on the day of her death.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - One person is dead after a camper fire south of Lubbock Thursday morning, according to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.
Volunteer firefighters responded to the fire at approximately 6:00 a.m. near 1585 and Ave. L. Deputies with the LCSO were also on scene. The Metro Special Crimes Unit and Fire Marshall’s Office were requested to assist.
The camper appears to be a total loss. The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
The Lubbock Police Department’s Metro Special Crimes Unit is investigating a body that was found at the site of a fire Thursday morning, April 22nd, 2021.
