WATERTOWN â Jason D. Cranmer, 35, of 254 East Main St., Apt. 5, was charged by city police Saturday with third-degree assault.
According to police records, Mr. Cranmer pushed Miranda Cranmer, 29, causing her to fall and hit her head, causing significant pain and swelling, during a domestic dispute at their home.
Mr. Cranmer was taken to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, processed and held pending a video arraignment.
Jonathan M. Belden, 36, of 16 Public Square, Apt. 3, was charged by city police Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief.
According to police records, at about 3 a.m., Mr. Belden caused $150 worth of damage to a door at his apartment, belonging to Thomas P. Cahill, when he struck it several times with a fire extinguisher.
WATERTOWN â A 38-year-old man was charged Wednesday by city police with third-degree rape after he allegedly had sex with a girl under the age of 17.
Joseph Crossman, of 244 Clinton St., was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child. City police said Mr. Crossmanâs arrest stemmed from an investigation begun in February into allegations that he had sexual intercourse with the child at his residence.
The case was sent to a grand jury, which was delayed by COVID-19 restrictions. The grand jury returned an indictment and an indictment warrant was issued from Jefferson County Court on Dec. 17, police said, resulting in Mr. Crossmanâs arrest Wednesday.

Matthew D. Cobb, 28, of 414 Clay St. Apartment 6A, was charged Friday by city police with first-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said that at 12:52 p.m. they received a report that a male armed with a pair of scissors had entered the Franklin Street Market, 247 Franklin St., and demanded cash and cigarettes from the 62-year-old clerk. When another person entered the store, the male fled with the scissors.
A witness followed the suspect to a Clay Street residence, where the suspect, identified as Mr. Cobb, was located. Mr. Cobb agreed to speak with detectives at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building where he was then charged.
