Sittingbourne man hits out at Swale council after his music equipment was seized and he got hefty fine for playing it too loudly

A ânoisy neighbourâ has hit back at his local authority with support from his fellow residents after being handed a hefty fine for playing music.
In October, Leon Witt, of Beaconsfield Road, Sittingbourne, had his speakers and music equipment, which he was borrowing from a friend, seized by Swale Council after it received numerous complaints dating back to March.

Kent Police carried out drug raids at an address in Greenwich last week. A drug dealer has admitted five charges after heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine were seized in a raid in Greenwich. On the morning of Wednesday, December 9, Kent Police officers attended an address in Greenwich after their enquiries linked the property to the sale of illegal drugs. Heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine are reported to have been seized following the warrant, which was carried out by the Swale Crime Investigation Department. Officers also reported finding a set of car keys which belonged to a Toyota Yaris that had been parked nearby. The Yaris was stolen from St Martin’s Road, Dartford, on 7 October.
Officers assaulted after responding to reports of a house party in Mill Road, Gillingham

Police officers responding to a house party have been assaulted, suffering face and hand injuries.
They were called to a house in Mill Road, Gillingham, at 12.20am yesterday, where they found evidence that a party had taken place.

While at the property, three people assaulted five officers.
One police officer had to go to hospital with a hand injury and a second received facial injuries, not reported to be serious. The three other officers were not injured.

A man accused of attacking police officers after being challenged over not wearing a mask at Bluewater is barred from the shopping centre until July 2022 - when he will face trial for the offence.
Sam Francis appeared at Maidstone Crown Court today wearing a black mask to enter his pleas to assault charges.

The 30-year-old from Slades Drive, Chislehurst, is also facing a hearing in the magistrates court on March 24 for not wearing a mask during the pandemic.
