As shipments of Moderna’s vaccine begin, local health officials are warning the public not to get complacent during the holiday season. My concern is that I don t want people to let their guard down thinking well there s a vaccine coming; I m not going to bother wearing a mask, I m not going to bother with social distancing, Dr. Fabian Sandoval, CEO and Research Director at the Emerson Clinical Research Center, said.
Sandoval is urging people not to travel for the holidays, even though things are looking up in terms of vaccine distribution.
Rehoboth–Dewey Chamber celebrates Mary Beth Brubeck’s 2nd practice location

The Rehoboth Beach–Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting Dec. 18 celebrating the grand opening of Mary Beth Brubeck, RN’s second location of her injectables and skin care practice, 19409 Plantation Road, Second Floor, No. 3, Rehoboth Beach.
Brubeck, a Georgetown University graduate, opened her original practice in 2017 in Rockville, Maryland. Brubeck specializes in skin care injectables such as fillers and Botox/Dysport for men and women.
“I partner with patients to make detailed plans that address their specific goals,” said Brubeck. “My skills, updated training and expert eye yield subtle, flattering results. I’ve built my business to date largely by referrals and word of mouth.”
Larry Price Franklin Price, 72, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC.
He was born on October 5, 1948, in Covington, KY, to Richard Price and Audrey (Richardson) Price. He was one of three (3) boys in his loving family.
Larry married his beautiful bride, Linda Christine (Teresi) Price on February 23, 1984. Together they celebrated over thirty-six (36) years of marriage. Their love combined two families making life a little crazy but fun.
He proudly joined the United States Air Force in 1971 serving his country honorably. He was a proud American and took great pride in his country. Upon his release he worked as a Plumbing and Housing Inspector for the Federal Government. He was a dedicated employee and enjoyed his position up until his retirement in 2010.

WASHINGTON, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser confirmed Monday she was extending the coronavirus public health emergency for D.C. to March 31, 2021. She issued her first emergency order early last March, so the District will be under a public health emergency for more than a year.
With the number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths on the rise, Bowser said she was issuing a Mayor s Order to implement adjustments to Phase 2 restrictions. These changes go into effect 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and run through to 5 a.m., on Jan. 15, 2021.
Kennedy joins McLaren Northern Michigan
McLaren Northern Michigan has hired Christopher Kennedy as a podiatric surgeon at McLaren Northern Michigan Orthopedics, 560 W. Mitchell Street, Suite 560, Petoskey, the hospital said in a news release.
Kennedy was born in Boston and raised in Rochester, Minnesota. While attending the University of Minnesota for a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, he worked as a volunteer firefighter and emergency medical technician. Kennedy went to medical school at Kent State University of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland and completed his residency in reconstructive rearfoot podiatric medicine and surgery at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University. He continued his training at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, where he pursued a complex limb salvage and reconstruction fellowship.
