Indian IT industry doing very well during pandemic: DG STPI

× Director General of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Omkar Rai on Monday said the Indian IT industry has been doing very well during the pandemic and the sector will witness significant advancements in the times to come.
The IT industry has done great in such difficult times due to its strong foundations and adaptability to change, Rai said while addressing the virtual e-Naga Summit 2020 organised by the Information Technology and Communication department of the state government.
Mentioning that India has done great in terms of IT Hubs, he said, “Nagaland’s aspiration to become the IT Hub of Southeast Asia is absolutely genuine and is commensurate with the ambition of the nation and SPTI.” The STPI director general appreciated the state government s initiative in allotting space to start a STPI Centre here and a Network Centric Centre with well built incubator.

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Government on Saturday said it has achieved a five-year target of attracting Rs 20,000 crore investment and providing three lakh jobs in Information Technology sector in three years only.
UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who also holds the IT portfolio, said many reputed companies from China, Taiwan and Korea are keen to set up their manufacturing units in state Electronics Manufacturing Cluster, being developed in 100 acre land in Greater Noida.

UP has attracted Rs 20,000 cr investments in IT sector during past 3 years: Ministers
Lucknow, Dec 12(UNI) The new IT and Electronic Manufacturing policy of Uttar Pradesh government has started reaping dividends and in just 3 years time Rs 20,000 crore investment has been made by around 30 investors which provided jobs to 3 lakh people, State deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma and state minister for IT Ajit Pal Singh said here on Saturday. Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2017 was announced in December 2017 to attract investment in the electronics sector in the state.
The ministers made the statement while briefing reporters here about the achievement of the IT sector.
