Middle and high school students in St. Martin return to in-person instruction

ST. MARTINVILLE, La. â Middle and high school students in St. Martin Parish will be heading back to full in-person instruction starting Jan. 28, 2021.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Allen Blanchard says that transmission rates of COVID-19 in the school system are low and they feel very strongly that the best place for children is indeed in the classroom.
Some districts in the parish have already transitioned from hybrid schedules to full attendance beginning at the end of September, Blanchard says. Others changed schedules later in the fall.

All Wilson Co. Schools go remote ahead of holiday break

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) â All Wilson County students will be learning remotely during the week of Mon., Dec. 14 - 18 due to COVID-19.
School officials made the announcement Wednesday, saying the week will lead into the upcoming Holiday/Winter Break. Students will return to their respective teaching and learning models on Tues., Jan. 5, 2021 (K-5 Traditional & Grades 6-12 Hybrid).
Director of Schools, Dr. Donna Wright released the following statement:
âThis is the last thing we wanted to do, however given the latest reports and health trends from our district, we feel that this course of action is best at this time. While staffing concerns remain extremely high, our goal is to make sure we do whatâs best for our teachers, students and staffs overall.
