Meriden man charged in connection with New Britain homicide

NEW BRITAINÂ â A Meriden man was arrested on Tuesday and charged in connection with a homicide in New Britain in October.Â
 Quincey Kamal Carraway, 21, of 188 Hillcrest Ave., Meriden, was charged with murder and carrying a pistol without a permit.Â
On Oct. 11 around 3 a.m. New Britain police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting occurred in a plaza at the corner of Stanley Street and Stratford Street, according to Carrawayâs arrest warrant. Â
Officers found a large crowd and an off-duty state police trooper giving medical aid to a man, identified as Courtney Jones, the warrant said. MERIDEN â Police said Wednesday that a man killed in an officer involved shooting in Hartford was arrested earlier this month on weapon charges in the city.
According to the Associated Press, a man died after being shot by an officer who ordered him to drop his weapons Saturday night in a Hartford parking lot.
On Wednesday, Meriden Police Chief Roberto Rosado identified the man as Shamar Ogman.

A Connecticut gas station attendant was assaulted during an armed robbery by multiple suspects, according to police.
The incident took place around 6 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22 in New Haven County, at the Shell Gas Station at 945 Broad St., in Meriden, said Lt. John Mennone of the Meriden Police.
According to Mennone, multiple suspects entered the store, including at least one male armed with a handgun. After robbing the store, the suspects assaulted the clerk.
