Aker BP (OTCMKTS: DETNF) has contracted the low-emission Maersk Integrator jack-up rig for an additional exploration well offshore Norway, Maersk Drilling (CPH: DRLCO) reported Wednesday.
Slated to commence this December, the estimated 36-day contract will directly follow a two-well contract for the Maersk Integrator
Maersk Drilling pointed out the rig is contracted under a 2017 frame agreement via the three-way Aker BP Jack-up Alliance it participates in with Aker BP and Halliburton (NYSE; HAL). The drilling contractor explained contracts under the alliance are based on market-rate terms with incentive arrangements for all particles that hinge on actual delivery and performance.

In direct continuation of the rig’s previously announced work scope, Maersk Integrator will drill an exploration well for Aker BP offshore Norway. The contract is expected to commence in December 2021, with an estimated duration of 36 days. The firm contract value is approximately USD 9.6m, excluding integrated services provided and potential performance bonuses. The contract includes an option for additional work.

Offshore rig owner Maersk Drilling has secured an additional one-well contract for the low-emission rig Maersk Integrator with Aker BP.
In direct continuation of the rig’s previously announced work scope, Maersk Integrator will drill an exploration well for Aker BP offshore Norway, the rig owner said on Wednesday.
Namely, Maersk Drilling previously secured a two-well contract for the Maersk Integrator with Aker BP back in February 2021.
Under this deal, Maersk Integrator will return to Aker BP’s Ivar Aasen field for a two-well campaign expected to start in 3Q 2021.
