Ben Heap has been appointed non-executive, independent Chairman of x15ventures, bringing a wealth of financial services and fintech experience to the role.
Mr Heap is well known in the start-up and investment industries, having held a number of senior roles at Australasian Wealth Investments; UBS Global Asset Management; the Financial Services Council; and as founder of H2 Ventures, a fintech-focused venture capital fund.
Former long-time coach of the Australian netball team, Lisa Alexander, has reflected on her achievements which contributed to her recent appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM), and has revealed her future plans regarding switching codes to the AFL.
Ms Alexander was awarded the AM on Monday’s Australia Day Honours ceremony for her contribution to Australian sport as well as her encouragement of women in coaching roles.
She told Sky News the highlight of her nine year career as Diamonds head coach is the 2015 World Cup win in front of a home crowd in Sydney.
“It was a pretty spectacular day and I can still remember it all vividly,” she said.
The former Diamonds coach finished her tenure in 2020, and has since promoted women in coaching roles, as well as advocated for coaches to be able to cross to different codes.
