Saturday, March 13 at Advent Lutheran Church, W63N642 Washington Avenue, Cedarburg from 6 to 7PM as we honor the life and legacy of Breonna Taylor, a young African American woman and award-winning EMT who was murdered by Louisville police conducting a no-knock search of her apartment.

“Unite the Community: Candlelight Vigil for Breonna Taylor” will also provide an opportunity for community members to sign letters to their representatives in
support of “Breonna’s Law”, legislation which will ban no-knock warrants in Wisconsin recently introduced by Representative LaKeshia Myers.

Floyd died in police custody in May after then-Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin was shown on cellphone video with his knee on Floyd s neck for several minutes as Floyd pleaded, I can t breathe! Floyd later died.Chauvin, a 19-year veteran with his former department, was eventually arrested and charged with murder.Floyd s death sparked demonstrations worldwide last summer, and here at Sunday s rally in Baltimore, organizers said they re hoping for a conviction. SANTEE (KUSI) – The Santana High School classes of 2001 – 2004 along with school staff will join together on Friday, March 5th to honor Randy Gordon & Bryan Zuckor along with those who survived the deadly Santana High School shooting on March 5, 2001.
A Candlelight Vigil will take place in front of the school on March 5, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. on the front lawn at Santana High School, located at 9915 N Magnolia Ave, Santee, CA 92071.
In keeping with COVID-19 guidelines for public gatherings – participants will be encouraged to adhere to social distancing and asked to wear face coverings.

To honor the life of Concord Police Officer Jason Shuping, the Concord City Council recently approved a $100,000 budget amendment to fund a new Fallen Officer Memorial.
The city also filed necessary state and federal paperwork to establish a new nonprofit, Concord Police Foundation, to assist officers who are injured or killed in the line of duty and their families.
On Dec. 16, 2020, Shuping was killed in the line of duty while responding to a call about a crash and possible vehicle theft. Officer Kaleb Robinson was also injured while responding to the same call. Shuping was with the Concord Police Department for 1½ years before making the ultimate sacrifice in service to his community.
