A father and his daughter were crushed to death by a truck after it ploughed into their roadside house in Pabna on Friday night.
In Patuakhali, a tourist was killed in a road accident at Lebukhali ferry terminal of Dumki upazila the same night.
The victims in Pabna Shah Babu, 38, and his daughter Bristi Khatun, 12 were from Vitepara area of Santhia upazila.
Babu, along with his family members, was having dinner at his home around 10:00pm when the cement-laden truck crashed into the tin-shed home and ran over the duo. His wife and son luckily escaped unhurt, said family members.

The disgruntled workers blockaded the road in front of Sony Cinema Hall for three hours from 10am on Sunday, said Mirpur Police Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahmuda Afroze Lucky.
As many as 500 workers of Jeans Manufacturing took part in the demonstrations. The authorities later persuaded the workers to clear the road and they later went back into the factory, she told bdnews24.com.
“The workers alleged that the owners were shutting down the factory and relocating elsewhere without giving any prior notice or settling their dues. We sat with them inside the factory and spoke to both the owners and the workers.”

GAZIPUR, Jan 30, 2021 (BSS) – Two people were killed in two separate road accidents in the district today.
The deceased were identified as Shamim Hossain, 36, hailed from Sirajganj district and Mehedi Hasan, 14, an inhabitant in Sherpur district.
Salna Highway Police said Shamim was killed as a vehicle hit a rickshaw in Chandra area. Shamim who was on the rickshaw died on the spot.
Besides, Mehedi, a helper of the pickup van was killed when a truck hit his pickup van in Porabari area in Gazipur city this morning.
Mehedi was brought to Shaheed Tazuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead.
