Charges filed in St. Cloud bank hostage situation

Ray Reco McNeary has been charged in connection to a hostage situation at a St. Cloud, Minnesota bank.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. (FOX 9) - The man accused of holding five employees hostage at a Wells Fargo bank for more than eight hours Thursday in St. Cloud, Minnesota has been charged.
Ray Reco McNeary, 35, of Waite Park has been charged with five counts of non-firearm kidnapping, one count of first-degree aggravated robbery and one count of second-degree assault for allegedly wielding a pair of scissors. Additional charges may come from the U.S. Attorney s Office, according to Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall.

ST. CLOUD, MN A final hostage escaped Thursday night after a bank robbery turned into an hours-long standoff with authorities in St. Cloud, authorities said. Once the last hostage fled to safety at about 10:15 p.m., police arrested the male suspect.
There were no injuries reported in the incident, the Star Tribune reports. Tactical units from the St. Cloud Police Department and the FBI collaborated at the scene as the situation unfolded.
Five Wells Fargo employees were taken hostage after the robbery was reported at 1:45 p.m., and a nearly nine-hour standoff ensued.
