Veligonda Project Tunnel-1 Works Completed In Record Time Jan 14, 2021, 16:10 IST
PRAKASAM: The Tunnel-1 works of the Veligonda project, which aims to irrigate the dry lands in Prakasam, Nellore and Kadapa districts, were done at a record pace and completed by Wednesday.
The Andhra Pradesh government has taken all efforts to ensure the completion of these long-pending works as per the promise made by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and the Krishna waters will be diverted in the coming season. Accordingly, the Tunnel-1 project works were expedited and completed by yesterday.
With a total length of 3.6 km, the tunnel was dug at an average of 9.23 m per day.
MEIL Sets Up State-Of-Art Oncology Facility At NIMS For Poor Cancer Patients Jan 09, 2021, 17:39 IST
Megha Engineering Infrastructures Ltd. which always stands in the forefront in social service activities under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has developed Oncology Building in NIMS for poor cancer patients equipped with all modern amenities on par with corporate hospitals. This new Oncology building is equipped with beds, Oxygen, Ventilator, Lift and other facilities.
On Saturday, 9th January, 2021 Hon’ble Minister Sri Etela Rajender inaugurated the new Oncology Building. NIMS Director Sri Manohar, MEIL Chairman Sri P.P. Reddy, MEIL Director SmtSudha Reddy participated in this program.

The Oncology block at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences was completely renovated and expanded by Megha Engineering Infrastructures Ltd. (MEIL) under its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The 50-bed building is equipped with oxygen, ventilators and lift for emergency services. Besides, there are separate wards for men and women patients, a paediatric ward and an exclusive leukaemia ward for patients suffering from blood cancer.
The building now has a bed-lift that can carry 20 patients at a time. LED lights, CCTV cameras, centralised air-conditioning were installed. The ICU unit has oxygen and vacuum pressure facility. Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender would inaugurate the renovated and expanded block on Saturday.
