Biden spent much of his 20-minute speech Thursday making false claims
Joe Biden took credit for the vaccine and the distribution of the same last night during his teleprompter speech. It was Trump who led the effort to get that vaccine in record time. It was Trump who worked out the distribution plan he currently uses. Trump had already bought and paid for millions of doses before there was a vaccine. All Joe did was exercise his options under the contract they had with Donald Trump.
Joe falsely claimed last night, “A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked.”

Meet Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis. The newly elected prosecutor announced her office was opening up a criminal investigation into Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of Georgia 2020 presidential election.
Playing a large role in the investigation is the leaked phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. You’ll recall two now-former Biglaw attorneys were also on the call, Cleta Mitchell and Alex Kaufman. Appearing on the Rachel Maddow show last night, Willis noted that Trump’s request on the call for a very specific number of additional ballots to be found could go a long way to establishing mens rea.
“Opossum Republicans”: Olympia Snowe’s Stunning Surprise
When prominent members of Congress are considering retirement, there’s nearly always some kind of hint in advance of the announcement. Maybe they stop raising money; perhaps they’re slow to put a campaign organization together; maybe key staffers are seen moving to new jobs elsewhere;
something.
But with Sen. Olympia Snowe (R) of Maine, all of the evidence pointed in the other direction. Not only were there no hints about a pending departure, the Republican senator gave every indication of seeking another term, even moving considerably to the right.
It’s what made Snowe’s retirement announcement late yesterday such a stunning surprise.

Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, described low morale among staff at the agency after Donald Trump spent months downplaying the severity of COVID-19, flouting the agencyâs recommendations, and sidelining public health experts.
In an interview with MSNBCâs Rachel Maddow on Wednesday, Walensky said staff at the CDC have been âmuzzled, they have been beaten down, but they are still there, and they are working hard, long hours.â
