School boards in Huron-Bruce will be receiving more than $8.4 million to update local infrastructure and further protect against COVID-19.
The funding comes from the provincial and the federal government as part of the COVID-19 Reliance Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program
The funds will be used for retrofits, updates and upgrades to schools and co-located child care facilities, with projects including: HVAC renovations, water bottle refilling stations, and space reconfigurations.
The distribution of funding per school board is as follows:
Avon Maitland District School Board $2,974,509
Huron Perth Catholic District School Board $1,700,000
