We’ve been quiet about Brexit because so many things have been happening on other fronts, and truth be told, because reporting has been thin. That isn’t necessarily due to a lack of newsworthy developments but that getting a good picture would involve things like interviewing haulers and farmers or at least their trade associations, and that means developing new sources, which equals work. But even adverse outcomes for the City are getting surprisingly little notice. Some of that may be Brexit fatigue. But many UK businesses are making surprisingly little noise relative to the pain they are suffering. Is that because they recognize or have been told that the Government simply is not going to petition the EU for waivers any time soon, so they are not wasting the few chips they have?
Josh Kerr is sick of the "empty words" from St George Illawarra and wants the team's actions to do the talking in 2021.

ANDREW Neil’s GB News channel has secured more than £60m of funding ahead of its launch. In an announcement on Wednesday, GB News revealed that Sir Paul Marshall, a prominent hedge fund manager, and Legatum, a Dubai-based investment group, would become major shareholders in the company. Legatum is known for its funding of the influential think-tank the Legatum Institute, which launched in 2007. The Financial Times once described them as the "think-tank at intellectual heart of ‘hard’ Brexit" - a characterisation that they reject.
A BBC documentary about Dominic Cummings broke accuracy rules by implying that Boris Johnson's former chief aide was prejudiced against Muslims, the broadcaster's complaints unit has found.
Taking Control: The Dominic Cummings Story, presented by Emily Maitlis, risked misleading viewers by taking quotes from a paper by his think-tank about migration out of context, the unit said.
The documentary reported from a paper titled 'How Demographic Decline and its financial consequences will sink the European Dream' published by Mr Cummings' New Frontiers Foundation in 2005.
The extract included in the programme stated: 'The consequences of economic stagnation coinciding with rising Muslim immigration cannot fill anyone familiar with European history with anything other than a sense of apprehension, at least, about the future of the Continent'.

New Dragons coach Anthony Griffin’s reputation as a hard taskmaster has enabled him to scrap the dreaded pre-season “fat club” and introduce a breakfast club for St George Illawarra players among a host of changes to their training routines.
After hearing about early morning training sessions that Penrith players deemed to be overweight had to endure during Griffin’s tenure with the Panthers, the entire Dragons squad returned after their end-of-season break in good condition.
“We don’t have a fat club this year, everyone is in good nick,” winger Jordan Pereira said. “The coaching staff might have their own outlook on it but they are probably putting us through enough work that we don’t need to have an extra club for the high skin fold folks.”
