Marsalis weaves a harrowing story of an aspiring musician who sells her music to the devil – a record company – in an age-old tale of temptation. The jazz-inspired 7-piece chamber orchestra retells the legendary parable once again with narration.    Orpheus Performers: LAURA FRAUTSCHI, violin; DONALD PALMA, double bass; ALAN KAY, clarinet; FRANK MORELLI, bassoon; CARL ALBACH, trumpet; WESTON SPROTT, trombone; and JAVIER DIAZ, percussion will be joined by DANYON DAVIS, narrator, who is currently the Director of the MFA Program and Head of Movement at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
