The Department of Social Protection says that’s down almost 990 compared to last week.
Over 1,500 (1,536) people in Kerry closed their payment this week to return to work; that’s up from nearly 860 the previous week.
2,216 Kerry people have been medically certified for the Enhanced Illness Benefit this week; they are self-isolating or have coronavirus.
That figure is up 24 compared to last week.

Over 1,400 people have closed their Pandemic Unemployment Payment claims in Clare since the country exited level five restrictions.
More than six and a half thousand people here will receive the state support today, with a number of this getting their final payment as they return to work this week.
It’s less than half the high of 14,600 people who were on the PUP at the height of the pandemic in May.

Separately, the number of people who have been certified for the Enhanced Illness Benefit in Clare since the COVID-19 outbreak in March has climbed to above 1,700.
