Two important updates that happened recently:
1. I purchased FSD at a discount! (June 2020)
2. I purchased a used set of the OEM 19 Sport Wheels (October 2020)
1. FSD Purchase Story:
Although I was happy with the Enhanced Autopilot functionality that I had received with my car, I kept thinking about FSD as a viable software purchase. Then, on Autonomy Day in 2019, Tesla unveiled the Full Self Driving Computer , also known as Hardware 3.0 or HW3 computer, and the stage was set for Full Self Driving to make bigger strides. All Tesla vehicles after March or April 2019 come with the FSD Computer pre-installed, and owners of Tesla vehicles built prior to that date, and who have purchased or wish to purchase the FSD software package are given a free retrofit of the HW3 FSD Computer.
Finally, it seems we know when to expect the new systems.
Elon Musk has been shaking things up in the cryptocurrency world, but more controversial than his conflicting tweets is his company s so-called Full Self Driving system. We ve been waiting for more updates on when this system might finally be released, and last month, we heard that it would be soon. Now we have more info, thanks to a tweet from Teslarati explaining the recent updates that have been made to Tesla s website. Musk replied to this tweet, and these indicate that the V9.0 update is ready to roll out and will not feature a radar anymore but will only work with cameras, as Musk has previously hinted.

It seems Tesla CEO Elon Musk has really had no idea exactly when the automaker will be ready to launch its promised Full Self-Driving Beta Version 9.0 software update. He s been teasing it for some time, but his timelines haven t worked out. However, now Musk has offered some much more specific details.
Tesla fans and owners have been waiting for the V9.0 update for months. Musk has said it will be on a completely different level than the current system. However, when Tesla decided to do away with radar and stick to only pure vision, it worked to push back the future software update significantly.
