In meetings with Governor Eduardo Leite of Rio Grande do Sul and Mayor Bruno Reis of Salvador, the capital of Brazil’s state of Bahia, each expressed thanks for Church efforts. Governor Leite said, “I know that the first role of the Church is to relieve sad hearts, to carry a message of hope and faith. I respect and admire your Church.”
