Chhattisgarh: Woman Maoist with Rs 2 lakh bounty on her head killed in encounter in Dantewada

Raipur: A woman Maoist, having bounty on her head of Rs 2 lakh, was killed in an encounter after having gunfight with security forces in Chhattisgarh s Dantewada district on Monday, a police official said.
The gunfight took place around 6.30 am near Gumalnar village under Geedam police station limits when a team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) was out on an anti-Naxal operation, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said.
In a video message the senior police official said, the armed Maoists were planning to carry out some big incident on the National Highway.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces detected and difffused another Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Monday. The IED was planted near Railway link road at Panzgam under Awantipora police station area.
SRINAGAR: Police and security force on Monday detected one more Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said. They said that second IED was found in Saimu Tral area and later defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad which was rushed to the area.
