MAYOR CANTRELL JOINS FELLOW LOUISIANA MAYORS IN CALL TO OPPOSE VETO OVERRIDE OF DANGEROUS GUN BILL
NEW ORLEANS Today, Mayor LaToya Cantrell joined Mayor Sharon Weston Broome of Baton Rouge, Mayor Adrian Perkins of Shreveport, Mayor Robert Billiot of Westwego, Mayor Cornell Dukes of New Roads and Mayor Lionel Johnson of St. Gabriel in releasing the following joint statement calling on the Louisiana Legislature to uphold Gov. John Bel Edwards’ veto of legislation that would eliminate the need for training and permits for the concealed carrying of weapons:
