CANTON â St. Maryâs Roman Catholic Church in Canton is continuing its series of Ramping Up raffles to support a new wheelchair ramp at the Court Street parish.
Weekly drawings have been culminating to a $5,000 grand prize drawing scheduled after the 9 a.m. Mass on Fatherâs Day, June 20. A total of 500 tickets throughout the campaign are being sold, at $50 each.
Weekly drawings for $250 and $500 have been held since April, and winning tickets are returned to the batch for additional chances to win. Prior to the grand prize drawing, a $1,000 prize will be drawn on June 8, and a $2,000 prize will be drawn on June 15.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many of the local Memorial Day Ceremonies have been revised to reflect Governor Hogan’s Executive Order for social distancing and mask wearing. Please consider attending

Mark Stanley Lacey, age 54 of Ridgefield, CT passed away from a brief yet brutal battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma on Friday, May 14, 2021. Mark had many exceptional qualities chief among them was the love he had for his family, his unfaltering faith in God, and the genuine kindness that he showed to everyone he met. He touched the hearts and souls of many people during his life and leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.
He is survived by Darrian (Zaslowe) Lacey, his wife of 22 years, and his beautiful children, Jonah (21), Mairead (18), Isabella (16), Roan (13), and his dog Dash who he always had a peanut butter pretzel for. He is also survived by his parents, John and Barbara Lacey, his in-laws, Peter and Nancy Zaslowe, siblings, Michael, Stephen, John, and Kathleen, many sisters and brothers-in-law, and fourteen nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly and who dearly loved him
