Troopers seek public’s help in probe of hit and run crash that injured pedestrian Updated Jan 27, 2021; State police in Franklin County are requesting the public’s help as they investigate a hit and run crash that severely injured a pedestrian. The crash occurred just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 9600 block of Tomstown Road in Quincy Township. The victim, a 58-year-old Waynesboro man, has undergone several surgeries and was still in the intensive care unit of the Maryland Shock Trauma Center on Wednesday afternoon, police said. Vehicle parts found at the scene indicated the striking vehicle was a pickup truck, a gray 2009 to 2013 GMC 1500 Sierra SLT or GMC 1500 Sierra Denali, troopers said. They said the truck would have sustained a broken driver’s side headlight and turn signal lens had its driver’s side mirror sheared off.
