Updated: 12:53 PM EDT Apr 1, 2021 Federal agents and state officials seized 44 pounds of cocaine from a freighter anchored in the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis.Officials said Drug Enforcement Administration and Customs and Border Protection agents, along with the U.S. Coast Guard and Maryland Natural Resources police, found the drugs while conducting an inspection aboard the Samjohn Solidarity.During the inspection, officials said they found 20 bricks of cocaine hidden in the vessel s anchor locker. The drugs have a street value of around $1 million.Authorities did not make any arrests.An investigation continues.
