County has lowest daily coronavirus case increase since late November

Six additional confirmed deaths reported in Montgomery Bethesda Beat Staff Report | Montgomery County on Monday had its lowest daily COVID-19 case increase since late November. There were 190 new cases a 0.3% increase recorded since Sunday morning, bringing the total number of known cases the county has had to 59,155. The increase was slightly more than the daily increase of 189 on Nov. 28. The lowest increase in January was 197 cases on Tuesday. Earlier in the month, the county had several days with more than 500 cases in a day, including a few that topped 600. The Maryland Department of Health on Monday reported six additional confirmed deaths from the virus in the county overnight. The county’s confirmed death toll now sits at 1,266.
