Maryland State Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash In Queen Anne’s County

(CENTREVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred last evening in Queen Anne’s County.
Shortly after 9:10 p.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Centreville Barrack responded to a report of a pedestrian face down in the roadway on eastbound Rt. 50 at Cox Neck Road, in Chester, Maryland.
The pedestrian, identified as John A. Price, 62, of Stevensville, Maryland, was transported to University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he was pronounced deceased around 10:30 p.m.
According to a preliminary investigation, a driver of a 2018 Kia Soul contacted the Queen Anne’s County Emergency Operations Center to report possibly hitting an animal in the roadway, in the eastbound lanes of Rt. 50 near the crash scene, and continued to his destination. Fatal Crash On NB JFX Under Investigation

(RUXTON, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality early this morning on the JFX in Baltimore County.
Around 5:15 a.m., troopers from the Golden Ring Barrack responded to a reported two-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of the JFX prior to Ruxton Road. Troopers arrived with fire and rescue personnel and found two vehicles were involved in the crash.
The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of an SUV ran into the rear of another SUV in the far left lane of the JFX, causing both vehicles to run off the roadway. A male in one of the vehicles has been pronounced deceased at the scene. The body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore.

Maryland State Police are investigating a two vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality early Saturday night on I-495 in Prince George’s County.
Just after 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 15, 2021, troopers from the College Park Barrack were dispatched in response to call for a crash with injuries on I-495 north in the area of Cherry Hill Road. Troopers arrived with fire and rescue personnel and found two vehicles were involved in the crash.
The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling north on I-495 when he struck the rear of a 2002 Honda Civic and was ejected. The motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of family.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, troopers from the La Plata Barrack were dispatched to a traffic crash reported on Rt. 6 in the area of Rogers Mill Place, La Plata, Md. Upon arrival, troopers found two vehicles were involved. Fire and emergency medical services personnel also responded to the scene.
