MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall and the Family Sunshine Center announcing a multiagency alliance to combat human trafficking.
The Alabama Anti Human Trafficking Alliance will share resources to arrest and prosecute human traffickers and provide assistance to victims.
The alliance will include the U.S. attorney’s offices for Northern, Middle and Southern Districts, Homeland Security Investigations, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Family Sunshine Center, Wellhouse, Ashakiran, West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force and Poarch Band of Creek Indians.
Northport man charged with 15 counts of possessing child pornography

A Tuscaloosa County man was charged with 15 counts of possessing child pornography after several Alabama law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant at a home Wednesday.
Edward Chase Pogue, 31, of Northport, was charged with 15 counts of possession of obscene matter containing a person under 17, the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force announced.
A home in the 12700 block of Mill Creek Road in Northport was the subject of a search warrant executed by the task force, the ALEA ICAC Task Force and the University of Alabama Joint Crimes Task Force. The investigation found probable cause to charge Pogue.

NORTHPORT, Ala. (WBRC) - A Northport man has been charged with possession of child pornography after investigators executed a search warrant Wednesday.
Authorities say 31-year-old Edward Chase Pogue of Northport was arrested on multiple charges for possession of obscene matter containing a person under 17.
The bond for all charges totals $225,000.
“The initial charges come from a very short extraction of an electronic device that belonged to the suspect,” said West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force commander Lt. Darren Beams.
