Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan has said he doesn t understand why Prime Minister Scott Morrison would warn China over trade risks when Australia has so much to benefit from the relationship.
Asked about Mr Morrison s G7 Summit speech on radio station 6PR, Mr McGowan said he saw the speech the Mr Morrison made and believes it was wrong to single out China over trade rules. Once again I don t understand it. Why would he be doing that? Mr McGowan told 6PR s Gareth Parker.

Friday night’s top-of-the-table clash between the Melbourne Demons and Western Bulldogs is in doubt with players and staff forced into isolation after a Dees player visited a tier one exposure site.
Under current government directives, all Victorians who have visited tier one sites are required to undergo immediate testing and isolate for 14 days regardless of the result.
However, it is understood the blockbuster clash, scheduled to take place at Marvel Stadium, will still go ahead provided all members of the second-placed club test negative ahead of the game.

Western Australia Premier Mark McGowan’s push for an extension of emergency powers - along with proposed electoral changes - is a “pure, unadulterated, narcissistic power trip,” according to Curtin University’s Dr Rocco Loiacono.
In a speech at the opening of parliament, outlining the government’s agenda, WA Governor Kim Beazley said the agenda would include an extension of the emergency powers.
“One of the first priorities will be to extend again the state of emergency powers to ensure that the legislative tools required to respond to the pandemic and keep the virus at bay can continue,” Governor Beazley said.
