Delphos, others receive $17.5M in financing from Ohio EPA Delphos logo COLUMBUS Communities in Northwest Ohio are receiving approximately $17.5
million in low-interest rate funding from Ohio EPA to improve wastewater
and drinking water infrastructure and make other water quality
improvements. The loans were approved between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2020.
The lower interest rates and principal forgiveness will save these
communities more than $6.76 million.
For the fourth quarter of 2020, the following projects in the area are receiving funding:
Delphos is receiving two loans. The first is a $447,566 loan to replace a water main on Fifth Street.
This
loan includes $350,000 in principal forgiveness. Principal forgiveness

As construction crews worked on West Trade Street near where an extension of the Gold Line Streetcar is coming on a recent morning, color popped behind them. On the side of Johnson C. Smith University’s Arts Factory, a beaming mural showed off past and contemporary scenes from the city’s Historic West End.

The city’s Fifth Street Water Line Replacement Project is underway with one block completed.
The project includes West Fifth Street from Main to west of State Street and Clay Street from Fifth Street to Sixth Street.

Jefferson
High School seniors Owen Miller and Anna Fitch were crowned the 2020
Homecoming King and Queen prior to Friday’s gridiron matchup against
Hicksville. Jefferson lost 47-20.
The Delphos Run Club announced
it finished up its seventh year with $10,614 raised for local charities.
