11th Annual Entrepalooza Celebrates Entrepreneurship in Siouxland Feb 3, 2021 By Dept. of Marketing & Communications A multitude of Siouxland organizations will co-sponsor Entrepalooza, a five-day celebration of entrepreneurial spirit in Siouxland. This year’s Entrepalooza takes place from Feb. 15 th to 19 th. Monday, Feb. 15: Kicking off by selecting this year’s winner of “Love A Local,” which encourages Siouxland shoppers to buy their Valentine’s Day gift from a locally owned business. For a chance to win $100 at their favorite Siouxland business, residents can visit the “Love a Local” Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SiouxlandSmallBusiness/) for instructions and rules. Two entrants will win a gift certificate, contest ends Valentine’s Day. “Love a Local” is co-sponsored by the BCU Enactus team and SBDC Iowa at Western Iowa Tech Community College. The lawsuit filed Monday in the Northern District of Iowa says Western Iowa Tech Community College and J&L Staffing, both in Sioux City, lured the students to Iowa in 2019 under a work- and study- based visa exchange program only to push them into factory jobs that had no educational value and were unrelated to the field of study.
