Coronavirus: 25 more deaths recorded across Sussex

THERE have been 25 more coronavirus deaths across Sussex, according to the latest figures. NHS England data shows eight more deaths were recorded by Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, as of 5pm on Tuesday. It means 393 people have died with Covid-19 in hospitals run by the trust. East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust also recorded eight deaths over the period, bringing its total to 566. Nine deaths were reported by Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In total, 393 people have now lost their lives to the virus at the trust. Across Sussex, 422 new cases were confirmed as of 9am yesterday. In Brighton and Hove, 54 new cases were recorded, up slightly from 48 the previous day. It means 13,275 people have tested positive in the city since the pandemic began.
