THUNDER BAY - In an effort to contain an outbreak of COVID-19 amongst a vulnerable segment of the population in the city of Thunder Bay, several health organizations are working to immunize those who are vulnerably housed or experiencing homelessness in the community.

The United Way of Thunder Bay and the Thunder Bay Community Foundation have teamed up to provide more than $300,000 to 32 organizations in the city and region. The funding, which comes through the federal government s Emergency Community Support Fund, is aimed at supporting vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic.(United Way of Thunder Bay)
