Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said it was a huge moment for the Harbour City.
“Tonight, the Sydney Lyric Theatre will raise the curtain on the Australian premiere of Hamilton – the most talked about Broadway show in the world.
“The NSW Government secured this highly coveted musical for Sydney nearly two years ago and with the hard work of our authorities and the cooperation of the NSW community, Sydney is the only place in the world to see this global sensation right now.

NSW Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres has announced the appointment of Christine McLoughlin as the new chair of the state’s destination marketing agency.
McLoughlin (pictured above) is one of Australia’s most highly-regarded company directors and an accomplished business leader, having held various domestic and international executive positions in a range of industries spanning the corporate, government and not-for-profit spheres.
She is currently chair of Suncorp Group, chancellor of the University of Wollongong, and a director for Venues NSW, Cochlear Limited and the McGrath Foundation. McLoughlin is also the co-founder and chair of the Minerva Network

City secures biggest outback music event
• Mayor Darriea Turley AM, Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres, and Kate Ceberano joined event organisers on Mundi Mundi plains to launch the Bash.
Some of Australia’s biggest rock legends will take to the regional stage this August, when they perform at the inaugural Broken Hill Mundi Mundi Bash – the biggest music and camping festival to be hosted in Outback NSW.
Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres was at Mundi Mundi Plains today to make the announcement, alongside Outback Music Festival Group Director and Founder Greg Donovan and multi-ARIA-award winning performer Kate Ceberano, who will headline at this year’s event.
