Authorities have charged a New Jersey man with child porn offenses following a seven-month investigation that involved police in Massachusetts.
Nicholas D. Coffin, 24, of West Deptford Township, allegedly contacted a 12-year-old girl via social media and offered to pay her for illicit photos and videos, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.
A search warrant was served at Coffin’s home on Jan. 14 and he admitted owning a “suspect social media account” and “soliciting and receiving illicit pictures from other children.”
He was charged with first-degree manufacturing child sexual abuse material and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. He was placed in Salem County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.

Getting to work has been tough for Dennis Snow.
He’s a truck driver for a company that hauls mail for the U.S. Postal Service and has a 10-mile trek from his home in West Deptford to Bellmawr for a midnight shift.
His old vehicle needs thousands of dollars in repairs, so the Gloucester County man resorted to borrowing his mom’s car or riding his bike late at night on dangerous roads to get to work.
Snow thought he was stopping at Boggs Auto Collision Rebuilders in West Deptford Township with his boss on Tuesday morning to pick up a truck for work.
