The Gator Party and the Change Party released platforms highlighting stances on traffic safety, sustainability, racism and student diversity.
Students will vote for 50 UF Senate seats and the Student Body president, vice president and treasurer on Feb. 23 and 24.
Gator released a 17-point platform Monday with plans to increase traffic safety on campus, facilitate access to Student Government resources and enhance the student experience through student involvement projects. Change’s 21-point platform, released Tuesday, focused on issues of racism, traffic safety and mental health.

Gainesville residents are once again concerned about pedestrian safety, after three separate traffic incidents took the lives of three University of Florida students within one year.
On Jan. 27, 2020, Denise Griffiths was struck and killed by a vehicle while using a crosswalk on East University Avenue.
