Former local OPP officer selected as Detachment Commander in West Parry Sound

Parry Sound resident charged with attempted murder

Parry Sound resident charged with attempted murder SHARE ON: An OPP cruiser (Photo credit: supplied) West Parry Sound OPP responded to a weapons call that ended with a woman being charged with attempted murder. The detachment got a call around 4:30 AM on Wednesday and went to the home on Bowes Street in Parry Sound. After an investigation, they arrested and charged a 39-year-old from Parry Sound with attempt to commit murder, mischief – destroys property, assault a peace officer, and fail to comply with probation order. Police say the victim involved has serious injuries and is recovering at hospital. No other details were provided on the incident.
