Manchester under more restrictive COVID curfew as cases rise

Dr Christopher Tufton The central Jamaica parish of Manchester has been placed under a more restrictive two-week curfew as the health authorities worry about a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases there. At the same time, residents of St Ann and St James have been warned that they could be next for enhanced COVID-19 measures if the current protocols which are in place to limit the spread of the coronavirus on the island are not adhered to. The Manchester curfew takes effect Monday, January 25 and will remain in force until Monday, February 8. It will run from 7pm to 5am daily. The rest of the country remains under a 10pm to 5am curfew.

Recently, the organisations purchased much-needed medical equipment for the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, Hanover. And, thanks to the support of sponsors and patrons at the Polo Charity affair held in February 2020, the charities managed to raise over US$44k.
