Netaji had dreamt of a strong India, from LAC to LOC, and we are following in his footsteps, the PM said addressing an event organised in Kolkata s Victoria Memorial. He said that Netaji s bravery and ideals inspire every Indian.

West Bengal Forest Minister Rajib Banerjee resigned from his position today. The cabinet minister did not give any reasons for his resignation. His resignation, however, comes in the middle of a recent string of exits from Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee s Trinamool Congress (TMC) as the state gears up for Assembly elections in the months of March-April. He is the third minister to resign from the state government in one month.

Kolkata, Jan 02: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday claimed that the whole country is apprehensive of a bloodied and violent assembly election in the state, and asked the police and administration to maintain neutrality. It will be a massive blow to the democratic system if public servants are engaged in political work and there cannot be a bigger challenge than this to the rule of law, he said.
