A 95-year-old New England resident was the first in a long-term care facility to get the COVID vaccine.
Jeanne Peters, a rehab patient at The Reservoir in West Hartford, Conn., was given the first COVID-19 vaccination in a long-term care facility through a program with CVS.
The program formally launched on Monday with the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine going to facilities across 12 states. The company expects to vaccinate up to four million residents and staff at over 40,000 long-term care facilities through the program, CVS said in a statement.
