AN elderly woman has died following a fire at a residential property in Kidderminster this morning (April 19). Three fire engines were rushed to a home in Park Street and fire crews tackled the fire using hose reel jets. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) were called out to the blaze at around 2.21pm this morning. An elderly woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service also attended the incident. A fire investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway, however at this stage it is not believed to be suspicious.

Two men remain in police custody after a woman was found dead at a North Staffordshire property.
Police and paramedics were called to Thames Road in Clayton at around 6.45pm yesterday (April 18) following reports a woman was in a critical condition.

A boy has suffered serious injuries after being bitten by a dog in a Stoke-on-Trent neighbourhood.
Police and paramedics were called out to the Buccleuch Road area of Normacot just after 6pm on Sunday evening.
POLICE are investigating an alleged assault in the wake of four police cars and an ambulance descending on Tolladine Road, Worcester, last night. West Mercia Police confirmed attendance at the Texaco garage just after 7pm on Sunday, April 18 and West Midlands Ambulance Service said a man had been treated and discharged without a trip to hospital “for injuries not believed to be serious”. A West Mercia Police statement read: “We received reports of an assault taking place near to a garage on Tolladine Road, Worcester, at just after 7pm on Sunday, April 18. “Officers spoke to several people and are investigating.

One woman was taken to Russells Hall Hospital with minor injuries after the crash at the junction of Cinder Bank and Swan Street at about 3.10pm.
Jordan Eggington, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: We were called by police at 3.12pm to a road traffic collision involving four vehicles at the junction of Cinder Bank and Swan Street in Netherton. We sent one ambulance to the scene and treated one patient, a woman, for minor injuries and she was conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital for further treatment.”
