(WLFI) - The West Lafayette Public Library Board is moving forward with finalizing plans for major reconstruction project. This is the first time this library building is getting an update since it was built back in 2003. This is especially exciting because 2020 marks 100 years of the West Lafayette Public Library in this community. Leaders at the WLPL said they need more space. Since the start of the pandemic, they said that more and more people are taking advantage of the library resources. Whether it be checking out a book, using the free internet for work, or bringing kids to a safe environment, the pandemic is not slowed people down despite modified hours.
