While social media gives us the impression teenagers all over the country are bemoaning the high cost of a college education, there are millions upon millions of dollars available to help them do just that.

West Virginia Higher Education Grant deadline moved to July 1 By May 3, 2021 - 1:45 am CHARLESTON, W.Va. The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission has extended the deadline for the West Virginia Higher Education Grant. The new deadline of July 1 comes amid a lower increase in college enrollment nationwide because of the coronavirus pandemic. The program’s previous deadline was April 15. “In close collaboration with the Department of Education, we’ve been working to get West Virginia’s high school seniors in a post-pandemic mindset and help them plan for their futures after graduation,” said Sarah Armstrong Tucker, the state higher education chancellor, following the commission’s meeting Friday.
