Yesterday, Porsche put out a press release, launching the new 2021 Boxster 25. While not a brand new model, the commemorative 25th-anniversary edition will be like no factory Boxster from the 718 family. The Boxster 25’s underpinnings are that of the 718 4.0 GTS, meaning it will most certainly have a 394 hp naturally-aspirated flat-six sitting right behind your head.
Its new look takes the mind back even farther than 25 years - all the way back to the 1993 Detroit auto show, where the first Porsche Boxster concept was revealed. BELLINGHAM, Wash. Two Bellingham City Council members have announced they will not run for re-election this fall.
2nd Ward Councilman Gene Knutson says he won’t seek an 8th term.
He says in a heartfelt email that after serving for 28 years it’s time to pass the torch to new leadership.
Pinky Vargas also says she won’t run again.
The two-term Ward 4 Councilmember says in a Facebook post that she’s started an MBA program at Western Washington University and wants to concentrate on her studies.

Jan. 12 Whatcom County set a new record for most new COVID-19 cases reported with 239 confirmed cases Monday, Jan. 11, by the Washington State Department of Health. The state did not report new related deaths or hospitalizations Monday.

While 239 is the most cases Whatcom has seen its overall reported caseload increase at once, it represents data from two days an average of 119.5 per day as the Department of Health does not release data on Sundays any longer. Whatcom s single-day record for new cases reported still stands at 171 on Thursday, Jan. 7.
