A Trenton man has been charged with multiple offenses after using pepper spray on a cashier and the store manager at the TJ Maxx department store at the Nassau Park Pavilion following a dispute over his break time, according to the West Windsor Police Department.
The man, who is a store employee, was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, issuing terroristic threats and simple assault in the incident, which occurred March 25, police said.
He reportedly became upset after he was told that he could not take a break outside of his scheduled break time, police said. He threatened to physically attack other employees and then left the store with his possessions, according to the allegations.
