Man chased down, fatally shot while walking to Osceola vacation rental Share Updated: 9:28 PM EST Feb 12, 2021 police lights Share Updated: 9:28 PM EST Feb 12, 2021 Authorities are searching for a group of people involved in the shooting death of a man in Osceola County.Authorities were called to the area of Westside Boulevard and Monaco Boulevard on reports of shots being fired on Feb. 2.According to deputies, 62-year-old Anthony Williams and another person were walking to their vacation rental when they were approached by a vehicle with several people inside.Officials said one of the people, who wore a ski mask, got out of the car and showed the pair a handgun. Williams and the person he was with ran away but were chased down. Officials say several shots were fired at them, one of which hit Williams.The vehicle, described as a black, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Equinox SUV, fled from the scene.Williams was taken to a hospital and treated but later died
Anthony Williams and another person around 12:30 a.m. were walking to the home near Westside Boulevard and Monaco Boulevard when a black 2018-21 Chevrolet Equinox SUV with several occupants wearing dark clothing drove up. One person wearing a dark ski mask got out with a gun, the sheriff’s office said.
WESTSIDE GOING FOUR LANES IN 2021:

I understand this is Sandoval/Bernalillo, Rio Rancho/Albuquerque owned/maintained, but it is a busy thoroughfare throughout the day and a bottleneck often. … Will this ever get improved by expanding to four lanes?”
And L. Thornburg emails, “Several years ago I saw signs on Westside regarding upcoming work to, at last, complete expansion to four lanes from just west of N.M. 528 to Golf Course. That has never happened, and we all still play ‘ace out’ to keep the left-lane line jumpers from getting in front when traveling east on Westside at Golf Course – because nobody really believes the zipper (merge) works in Albuquerque.
