The Los Angeles Small Business Development Center, Los Angeles County’s Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce are teaming up with PPE Unite to launch a Personal Protection Equipment distribution mobile PPE-Up on Saturday, Feb. 6th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
The Mobile PPE-Up event is the latest effort by PPE Unite and partners to support small business owners and their employees by providing them with a free 30-day supply of personal protection protective gear for all eligible small businesses in Los Angeles County.

Santa Clarita Valley Placed On Flash Flood Watch, Lake Hughes Prepared To Evacuate
Santa Clarita has been placed on flash flood watch by the National Weather Service (NWS), and areas near Lake Hughes have been asked to be ready to evacuate the area.
In anticipation of the rains Santa Clarita is expected to receive in the next several days, the National Weather Service has placed the valley on Flash Flood Watch for Thursday, Jan. 28.
Specifically, the flash flood warning is to be in effect from 4 p.m. Thursday until 4 a.m. Friday, Jan 29.
There is a 40 percent chance of rain Wednesday night, according to the NWS extended seven-day forecast.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) California lifted regional stay-at-home orders across the state Monday in response to improving coronavirus conditions, returning the state to a system of county-by-county restrictions, state health officials announced.
The order had been in place in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Joaquin Valley and Southern California, covering the majority of the state’s counties. The change will allow businesses such as restaurants to resume outdoor operations in many areas, though local officials could choose to continue stricter rules. The state is also lifting a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew.
