Yavapai County has lowered to Stage One fire restrictions. Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Chairman Craig Brown made the decision Monday. Stage one restrictions means no campfires unless in a controlled recreation site. No smoking, except in a building, developed recreation site or stopped in an outdoor area at least three feet barren or cleared of anything flammable. Also no operating or using equipment with an internal or external combustion engine without a spark. Brown says the county will remain in Stage One for now, but will monitor conditions.

Yavapai County is removing its mask requirements from its county buildings starting next week. Board of Supervisors Chairman Craig Brown says masks will no longer be mandatory in county buildings starting Monday. Citing the recent decision by the CDC, Brown says “we believe that as long as you are vaccinated, the chances of spreading the virus without a mask are minimal. If you have not been vaccinated, I encourage you to contact your primary medical provider and discuss your options.” He says if you are not comfortable with the changes, many of the county’s services can be accessed online at yavapai.us.
